The Egyptian international Omar Marmoush was named the best player in the match between Stuttgart and Eintracht Frankfurt, which ended with Frankfurt winning 3-2 on Sunday evening at the "MHPArena" stadium, as part of the tenth round of the current 2024-25 German Bundesliga season.
The official website of the Bundesliga confirmed that Omar Marmoush received the Man of the Match award and reported on the match:
Marmoush was once again the difference-maker, as he assisted on a corner kick that made the score 1-0 for Frankfurt and then scored to make it 3-0 from a direct free kick—his third in a row. He also won an impressive 66% of his duels, reaching a speed of 34.69 km/h, making him the second-fastest player on the field. Marmoush won the most duels (21) and posed a constant threat to Stuttgart's defense with four shots on goal.
The goals for Eintracht Frankfurt were scored by Hugo Ekitike, Nathaniel Brown, and Omar Marmoush in the 45th, 55th, and 62nd minutes, respectively, while Joshua Vagnoman and Fulmin scored for Stuttgart in the 87th and 91st minutes.
With this result, Eintracht Frankfurt is in third place in the Bundesliga standings with 20 points, having won 6 matches, drawn 2, lost 2, scored 26 goals, and conceded 16. The official Bundesliga website noted that Marmoush's shot reached a speed of 114.3 kilometers per hour and traveled a distance of 21.89 meters. According to the global statistics network "Opta," "Omar Marmoush scored his third direct free-kick goal in all competitions this season—no other player from Europe's top five leagues has scored more than once from a free kick," describing the Egyptian as having a "magical foot."
The Egyptian player has attracted interest from several clubs in Europe after leading the scoring charts in the Bundesliga, notably Liverpool, where Mohamed Salah plays as captain of the Pharaohs, as well as Bayern Munich. This has led Eintracht Frankfurt's management to open bidding for Marmoush, with "Sky Sports" Germany confirming that his club has set a price range of €50 to €60 million for his sale.
Marmoush has played 14 matches with Eintracht Frankfurt this season across all competitions, scoring 13 goals and providing 9 assists. His latest goal was against Slavia Prague last Thursday in the fourth round of the Europa League.
He leads the Bundesliga top scorers' chart with 11 goals, tied with Bayern Munich's Harry Kane, and has contributed to 16 goals in the league this season after providing 6 assists.
Overall, Omar Marmoush has contributed to scoring 46 goals with Frankfurt in all competitions since joining the team in July 2023, making him the player with the most contributions to his team in the Bundesliga, having played 56 matches and scored 30 goals along with 16 assists.
